We have to let go of things in order to make room for increase.
Letting go of bad habits makes room for growth.
Letting go of past hurts and regrets makes room for forgiveness.
Letting go of fear makes room for courage.
Letting go of doubts makes room for faith.
Letting go of worry makes room for peace.
Letting go of pain makes room for healing.
Letting go of expectations makes room for God to do exceedingly more than you imagine!
It is easy to let go of things when you no longer want them or are “trading up”, but what about letting go of something that you still cherish dearly? What about letting go when there is no understanding? That is where the challenge lies. But there is beauty in letting go of something you still love! And although it may be difficult to see, you are still making room for increase.
You are increasing your capacity for compassion and grace.
You are increasing your faith in God.
You are increasing your ability to trust Him blindly!
Letting go of something before you are ready takes unimaginable strength. It takes courage. It takes knowing that all things work together for good. But most importantly, it takes recognizing that the only thing we truly need is Him, and that is what makes it beautiful.
When you find yourself struggling to let go of something, shift your perspective from loss to increase. Think of the freedom you gain in moving when you aren’t tethered to the chains that have been weighing you down! You are free to step into His perfect will and run your race your passion and determination. “…Let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” (Hebrews 12:1 ESV)
Embrace the blessings in letting go.
Jenny this Word is excellent. Very much for me as I lay aside my blog for a short season. I truly believe that it will work together for good. Love Dad
